Planting and Restoration of Local Vegetation

In November 2019, citizens of Velké Opatovice, a town in Blansko District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic, participated in a beautification project along the tree-lined path leading to the town cemetery. Non-native species were removed and replaced with native, traditional varieties of fruit trees. Small trees were also planted next to a brook, bringing the number of total trees planted to 15. This project was conducted in partnership with the Velké Opatovice Municipality and with consultation from the town’s Council of Public Greenery.
