Damlapinar Hydroelectric Power Plant Project

The Damlapinar Hydroelectric Power Plant is located on the Göksu River within the boundaries of Kazımkarabekir, a district of Karaman, Turkey. The project produces approximately 77,500 MWh of green electricity. In addition, the project supports the local community by providing them with irrigation water. Prior to the project, the local inhabitants were irrigating their gardens by pumping water from the river via electric water pumps operated by diesel generators. This project reduces approximately 44,292 metric tons of CO2e per year.
